Okay, so here is a new update... no I'm not dead just not on live journal nearly as much as I am on Facebook. (To quote Dean from Castle one night... "Myspace Liiiives!" ) Anyway here is a new installment to my journals which are slowly becoming bi-annual... I hope not... i just use this place when I need to rant to someone when I know no one will read this....
Anyway, the reason for my rant...
I recently watched and (god help me) purchased the 2007 movie, Gabriel... What a god awful flick...
The cinematography sucked for the most part (other times it was outlandish but good), the acting was worth shit, the computer-generated backgrounds were terrible, and everything about it seemed like a rip off of something else...
So why in god's name did I like it? (It was movie stop, bought it used for five bucks, can't beat it).
The only way I could take this movie seriously was to treat it like a video game. It would have rocked as a video game! So looking at it that way, it's not so bad. Then I try to treat it like a legit movie and burst out laughing every time I try.
Well, what can I say? We all have our little guilty pleasures, some of them worse than others. Mine is Gabriel, and other terrible movies like that, that I love. For some it's the Twilight series... (thank god, there are two redeeming qualities about this movie that put it above Twilight... there is a plot twist at the end that I did NOT see coming. And it actually has some sort of not-overused plot... unlike the twilight series. (Seriously, I've read Twilight, and I've read books like it, I can give you a page and a half list of books that have the exact same plot line, minus about a thousand pages, and are still better written with believable characters)) Sorry, I have to remind myself that Twilight was not what I came here to rant about... how I hate it... *seethe*
Anyway, Gabriel... A god awful movie in general, but if you ever feel like something that probably came out of a writer's wet dream... this is a good way to go....
I'm still trying to figure out why I liked it so much...

So freaky experience last night...
I played one of the witches in the cat garden last night, complete with gnawing on a mummified hand, and eating the innards of my dead husband, I successfully creeped the hell out of a lot of people and scared the living day-lights out of one little girl...
Then half way through the night the tables turned, the hunter became the hunted. In one of the windows upstairs deadwringer spotted a face. Then Chris (the other girl we were working with) saw it, and then I saw it. This face had no body attached to it... Well we started getting pretty damned freaked out, complete with the Lord's prayer, Hail Mary, and on my part chanting "Christo" and the one exorcism I know over and over again. I spent the next half an hour chanting that exorcism. During the course of the paranormal experience the window opened and the face faded in and out of existence, moved closer to the window, and lurked down by the bottom pain. All the while, exorcisms, spells, prayers, swearing, and tours continued. I can not even describe the intensity of the terror i was feeling, I mean my legs were shaking so badly I could hardly stand. After a while Lynds came by and went to investigate. A little while later the ground's keeper Jay came by and we questioned him as he was the only person we suspected of pulling this were it not what we thought it was: the ghost of John Hays Hammond. Jay just laughed at our questions and walked away. A little while after Lynds walked by again and was forced to reveal that it was in fact Jay.
To say the least I wanted revenge, we never got it, and now the entire experience I find particularly hysterical. I can't say I was too happy to be going that night, as I hadn't been having too much fun doing it, but i was sure happy I had done it afterward. And so we got Karma for all those we had scared that night, so it seems Castle of the Damned even manages to freak out those who work it.
Best part of the day: probably the ghost experience even though it was terrifying
Worst part of the day: the ghost experience again, because it was terrifying

Castle last night went well... I played the concertina player. Me having absolutely no musical talent whatsoever creeped the crap out of people via constant staring and bad music playing... and standing like four inches away from them... It's funny how creeped out people get from being stared at and given no bubble space. All in all, good fun good fun... Except for having about fourteen tours come through in rapid succession and not being able to rest, the concertina gets very hard to play with numb fingers and sore arms... Dean laughed at me for it. That's all.

Productive day... I helped my dad get the contractor off his back... We went shopping for lights and I successfully talked him out of the hideous ones he had gone with... I'm sorry dad but copper does not go with a grey-blue house! So now we have pretty black nautical lanterns. And we got all the lights for my room, his room, and the sun room. The one in the sun room makes me happy because of the fact that the rim is a sun... irony!
Oh and still slightly sick... I'm getting better!
That's all.
Best Part of the Day:

cleaning the house to make sure my tutor wasn't offended by it's constant state of messiness...

Again not much else to say...
I've been trying to organize my friends to go up to Castle of the Damned as is our traditional thing, and people aren't cooperating and being jerks and i really don't like dealing with people very much so I don't know why i do it...
Facebook made me depressed again... logging on and showing that one of the people i'm trying to wrangle isn't telling me the truth when they say their too busy to do much of anything. Rant Rant Rant, fume, fume, fume... death...
Still have my cold.
Best part of the day:
Probably going out for ice-cream with my dad and David Michael
Worst part of the day:
archery (surprisingly, people there were just getting on my nerves (and I hurt myself several times including a bruise on my pinky finger where someone hit me with a clip-board, and stabbing myself completely by accident with one of my arrows)) or realisation that one of my friends is a big jerk.

First meeting for Castle of the Damned tonight... that means chicken pot pie for dinner gulped down on the way up, sitting on a cold stone floor for two hours while my butt goes numb, and trying to not get freaked out my Hammond Castle at night... And I have a cold...

Three weeks after C of the D closes, I post my fianl comments! (hurrah!) Well my friends loved it, and they completely bought the Knowledge channel bit. It was awsome. I can't wait for this weekend, I have Friday off. Yay!!! The joys of being in school! Days off... Do companies give Vetran's Day off? I wouldn't know I don't have a job yet, but I'll be getting one soon... I think... G2G... Homework, curses...
